It seems to be the theme of my life right now that I am constantly playing catch up. I haven't been taking many pictures and there hasn't been alot of exciting things going on lately (unless you count clearing out an office to turn it into a nursery, trying to get projects completed, and reorganizing half of our house to be exciting--confession: I am the kind of nerd that actually does like organizing projects). I am definitely feeling the pressure to get my mile-long to-do list completed in the 10 or so weeks I have left until the baby arrives. For some reason, every project I've started but never finished seems urgent enough to contribute to the insomnia that pregnancy brings me. Enough about my pregnancy woes though. There are a few pictures I thought I'd put on here. They are actually from August, but at least I'm finally getting them on here.
Brynn started her 2nd year of preschool with Miss Rhonda. (I think I win the prize for being the very last mom to post 1st day of school pictures.)
B was excited about getting to go back to school. Of course, she had a few moments of nervous panic when it came time for her to actually get out of the car and go to preschool. She is doing good now, however, and loves "teaching" her little brother and I all of the things she is learning. This is a total Brynn face! If she knows she has done something sweet or is really making an effort to do a smiley pose, this is the look we get. Definitely not natural, but I love it!
We have still been dealing with some of the clean up that was required after our fridge leak last month. It was a pain to deal with the constant noise of several industrial fans going in our kitchen for over a week and having all of our pots and pans all over our counters. The kids have dealt with it pretty well though, and you should have seen how excited we were when the fans were finally gone. Our house felt so quiet! For a couple days during the clean up, all of C's furniture had to be taken out of his room and moved into the hall while his floors were dried and everything fixed. I had the kids quarantined to the family room for most of that time to avoid any damage or injuries that were sure to result if they played in the hallway. One afternoon, I went to see what B was up to when I realized her bathroom break had taken an exceptionally long time. This was what I found:
She explained that she made a pathway so that we would know which way we could walk to get to the family room. I had to smile at the creative ways she found to entertain herself despite not having access to all of the toys and rooms she is used to playing with/in.
Another random picture to show the cute ways the kids find to entertain themselves:
Obviously B headed up this activity as well, since poor C is sporting pink sunglasses, a flowery knit hat, and a Hannah Montana guitar. I sure do love those 2 kids!!
